International visual arts competition
« Graines d’artistes du monde entier »
Created in 1993, our contest continues to expand worldwide. This « open window » on our planet collects the artistic expressions of young people under 25 years old each year, under varying themes.
The International Visual Arts Competition was created in 1993 by Michel GIROST, Founding President of the Louis François Center for UNESCO (1995) and the IMAJ World Institute of Youth Art (2019).
The celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2023, installed six artists in the role of promoters of the six age categories: 3-5 years old Philippe Tykoczinski, 6-9 years old Guy Péqueux, 10-13 years old Béatrice Tabah, 14-17 years old Alain Richard, 18-25 years old Monique Turin and Medico-social Pascale Rouillot. These artists have contributed to the history and development of our association, we wish to pay tribute to them.
On the other hand, three friends, very involved volunteers, have left us over the last two years: Bernadette Bautz, Mireille Lemée and Bruno Fageot, we award them the title of Ambassadors of our international Competition.
Our contest promotes artistic practice among children and young people around the world, aiming to bring them together around a common international action.
The World Art Institute of Youth‘s mission is to inscribe childhood and youth in humanity’s memory – which is why we undertake the conservation of all participating artistic creations within our art library « Mémoires du Futur®« .
- 100 laureates will be rewarded with a medal and a diploma of honor.
- The first prize in each category will be designated the Gold Laurel, the second the Silver Laurel and the third the Bronze Laurel.
- The nominees will receive a diploma of honor.
- All participants will be registered in the Artistic Fund of our Art Library « Mémoires du Futur®« .
